We accept pitches for essays, reported pieces, and profiles within our beat (see About). We do not currently pay for freelance work, though we hope to in time.

A good pitch includes:

1. A working title or angle
2. Two or three sentences on what the piece would argue or report
3. Why now, why us
4. Your relevant experience or sources
